I’m always looking for ways to improve how I’m doing things. To be able to do more, with less effort. I’m lazy, I know ;-). This week, I found a nice little extension for Chrome that improves a few features on Hootsuite: Fix Hootsuite Ext.
The extension allows to customize a few things in HootSuite, basically to get rid of the things you don’t need and leave more space for what you actually care: the tweets… Here are a few interesting options (and there are others):
- Customize the font size
- Hide Header tools
- Hide Footer
- Hide Workspace tabs
Another cool thing is that you can send a tweet by clicking Shift+Enter instead of actually clicking on the Send button. Even more cool: you can configure your default account, and, when you send a tweet, if you did not select any account, your default one will be used. How cool is that!
Another things I very much enjoy: holding the Shift key, you can click on multiple reply button and it will add all those @username in the message area, allowing you to mention many people easily in the same tweet.
A great extension. It increased my productivity a lot in the last few days. The only problem is that it’s not an official extension. So it can break at any time when HootSuite updates their service. But for an increase productivity now, I can live with this eventual problem. We’ll deal with it when/if it happens :-).
